MESSAGE FROM WAYNE

Hello My Loves,

People often point to human pain and misery and ask why it exists.
This Living Teaching offers no simple answers. The key word there is simple. The structure of the Universe, of which humans are but a minute part, is infinitely vast and complex. The human brain simply isn't equipped with sufficient processing power to see all the links and relationships of the Universe. Therefore any answer to WHY things happen is incomplete, simplistic (no matter how complicated) and ultimately arbitrary.

When faced with images of human pain and misery as with the recent earthquake in Haiti, many of us are moved and touched. We empathize, which is to say that we feel within ourselves some of the pain of others. It is an aspect of our humanness. Only the most spiritually naive dismiss it as unreal, an apparition, a dream. After all, it is as real as you are and it is logically ridiculous to assert your own unreality. Depending on your nature you may be moved to action or you may be moved to seek to understand or more likely to some combination of the two.

It may be worth investigating why it is you want to understand. Isn't it that you are uncomfortable not knowing? When you don't understand there is the discomfort of feeling out of control. If this is so, the understanding that is sought is actually a vehicle to comfort. Comfort being the objective, there are many ways to reach it, at least temporarily. Religious explanations, philosophical explanations and scientifc explanations all may bring a degree of comfort if not examined too deeply.

The Living Teaching is about looking deeply. When engaged in rigorously you WILL be uncomfortable since the Teaching pushes you out of your comfort zone. With Grace you will be pushed out of the nest and into the freefall which is mystical Understanding...conceptless, open and free. It is a space of infinite potential in which you know yourself as BOTH the Limitless and the limited. May it find you now.

With much love,

Wayne

The Last Talk of Ramesh S. Balsekar in Mumbai - July 24, 2009 - DVD

This DVD is of Ramesh's last public talk. It was recorded about 2 months before his death. Ramesh's voice was very weak and his life energy was obviously ebbing. Seeing Who You Are
A Talk with Wayne October 24, 2009

A lovely discussion with a different flavor than the ones you may be familiar with. It is in fact quite a lively and insightful discussion of faith, of harmony, of looking at one's experience as a function of the whole, and at why 'knowing it' isn't 'it.'

Enlightenment Not What You Think

ENLIGHTENMENT IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK

by Wayne Liquorman

Enlightenment is not what you think but rather the ultimate, unimaginable dissolution into all that IS.

Finally, a book has come along that may help to dispel some of the more persistent myths surrounding Enlightenment and Enlightened people! With his typical good humor, Wayne shines a bright, clear light on the subject, helping us to understand not only what Enlightenment isn't but encouraging us to realize directly and intuitively the Truth of Enlightenment itself.

This is an important book. With Grace, it could be the last one in your spiritual library.

"Wayne's teaching is part of the alluring and enduring tradition of spiritual enquiry in which the question is always more important than the answer, and in which the love and immeasurable patience of the teacher are what heal the wounds of the seeker." John Strydom, Clinical Psychologist

"Wayne skillfully dispels the illusion that Consciousness is something other than who you already are." Matthew Flickstein, Film Producer

With One Voice

WITH ONE VOICE -

Awaken To The Reality That Unites Us All - DVD

This is a visually beautiful, professionally produced, 78 minute long documentary about mysticism and mystical teachings. It features about a dozen teachers from various traditions (Wayne among them) talking about the Unity that underlies everything. It's primary value to those of you receiving this newsletter would be in introducing the mystical context of the Teaching in a mainstream, non-threatening, feel-good way to people who have no idea what it is you are interested in. It is not really an explication of the Living Teaching but it might help you explain to your loved ones a little bit about the teachings of non-duality.

A LIVING GEM FROM RAMESH

(never before published)

The perishability and changefulness of the world is part and parcel of its loveliness and liveliness. This is perhaps the reason why poets are at their best when speaking of change and the transitoriness of life in this world. It seems so much easier for poets to see that life, change, movement – insecurity – are so many names for the same thing. What the poets are doing is to shout silently: Accept life as it is! There is really no sense in fearing change and movement which are the very essence of all things beautiful.

WORDS FROM THE HEART

Dear Wayne,

Your teaching on the Sunday afternoon recently in London was a moment of transformation. Two wires (concepts) that had lain close together, but never quite connected, fused as one - and the light went on! I am so grateful. I felt touched to my core by your presence, and much has changed for me since that meeting. To understand that it is not having preferences that creates suffering, but the attachment to them is a vital and extraordinary realisation. Obvious in one way, yet I never quite 'got it' - until now! Ihave always loved the Hsin Hsin Ming sutra and read it literally. I'm now getting the newer translation.

So my thoughts are with you, and I send you deepest gratitude for the gifts you have given me.

All good wishes,

P
